This thread made me laugh so much. Why on earth should anyone want to set up a 'thank you Etsy' anything, with the way they've been treating their customers lately?
drat. I guess this means I should have been giving "thank you gifts" to the employees at my
Bank Paypal eBay where does the list end?
I fully encourage expressing thanks to anybody who goes above and beyond the expected minimum service of any kind. I do appreciate and thank specific service people with whom I have regular contact AND who have shown exceptional character and work ethic, not just someone doing their job.
At first blush, I thought this was another of NT's "brilliant in her own mind" gags. I have a twisted sense of humor, but I'm not mean-spirited (her tip cards) or stupid as many of her "neat things". I could only get through 4 pages of that thread and so far, it appears she is being serious.
As far as thanking the etsy employees, I suspect they have some excellent belly laughs at the expense of some regular forum posters; I know I do. THAT should be thanks enough and pricessless! :D
OTOH, neatthings has always been somewhat of a brown-noser...so, I guess this would be the icing on the cake.
Question of the day: how far up etsy's rear can neatthings nose go?
OMG, I can't even believe she was actually serious about that topic, but I think she was... I haven't laughed so hard in quite a while!! thank you so much for posting the links to these threads on your blog!!
Okay, since I don't want to start a thread on Etsy devoted to this (although it would certainly get closed and end up here anyway!) I just have to say this. NT likes to argue, period. Notice how she never really gets anywhere, just keeps asking questions? She loves to hear herself talk, she loves to push people, she loves to get people arguing under the guise of "challenging people to think," etc.
And she is SO bloody self-UNaware while apparently having convinced herself she is so evolved!
Example I just happened to come across today:
In the "Frustrated with Etsy? Something to think about..." thread (now closed, natch) NT states:
"Moreover, I didn't do that to anyone. I didn't handpick anyone, I didn't state any situations, I didn't even obliquely refer to anyone. So really, people are defining themselves and/or others as 'kicking and screaming children' without any contribution from me."
And yet, she states quite clearly in the "Once a cheater always a cheater?" thread (now closed, natch) that nothing happens between two people without BOTH contributing to the situation:
"Responsibility might be too strong a word. But in all situations that involve more than one person, all people in said situation make a contribution to the situation."

A classic.
