Soo... even though this wasn't calling out, it was closed. I know I've seen Admins posting in the forums that sellers should always create a hypothetical situation so they won't be directly calling out. The person who started this thread is obviously NOT the seller because she has no neutral feedback.
Make up your minds, Admin. Are we supposed to just keep our mouths shut when it comes to a question regarding a sale, or are we supposed to use the forums as they're intended - to get help from fellow sellers?

And another thing!
June 4, 2008 at 8:07:00 AM EDTThis thread is not a good example, but we all know that usually this sort of thread is closed with "Do not discuss private transactions on the forum. If you need help, please contact support (at) etsy.com"
Well, I needed help with a private transaction, so the FIRST thing I did was contact admin at their support email. Guess what their response was? "Use your best judgment and go with your instincts. We do not like to give advice to our members about how to conduct their transactions."
Oh so helpful. I'm still dealing with the situation, and (obviously) I'm very disappointed about their response.
