See, I have said this time and time again that some people really don't know they can't use copyrighted character items to make stuff with and sell. She probably thought "well they sell them to make stuff so I will make my stuff which I make to sell" and she was no wiser. I'm not saying it's right to sell items with copyrighted characters but i really think that whole "ignorace isn't an excuse" crap people are always posting just isn't fair as some people really DON'T KNOW THIS.

Not all supplies state on them "for personal use only, not intended for reselling" like most fabrics.

Melanie, her items being flagged had nothing to do with copyrights. Someone flagged one of her scarves and claimed it wasn't handmade, but it is handmade.
Etsy would not have reactivated the disney items if her flagging had anything to do with copyright.

She may get in trouble with Disney someday, but this occasion had nothing to do with that.

oh eclispe I was more talking about how she was being attacked because of the disney items, that is what my post was really about.

I am really sick of seeing people on the forums attacking others about the whole copyright thing assuming that everyone is aware of it.

When I first started making things with fabric I had no idea about the whole you can't use copyrighted (I really didn't know much about that either at the time) to make stuff and sell it. I learned from reading the forums and stuff but I would have rose all hell if someone would have told me that ignorace is not excuse.

I honest didn't know and can put myself in some of these sellers shoes who really don't know they can't sell stuff like this.

Like she said she was using them to make stuff like everything else she was making which means she really didn't know.

I am in no way defending those who do know though and just ignore the law.
