I hope Bella gets a good home with someone who has a functioning brain. I fear for your other dog and frankly, your kids. You're pathetic!

If you don't even have basic knowledge of dogs and animals, don't have one. Two kittens lost their life and possibly Bella because of your stupidity.

FYI, they sell leashes on Etsy since it's obvious you rarely move your lazy ass out of the forums.

So broken up over Bella and the kittens' death, that you continued on in the forums with such grief stricken statements as, "Nipple piercings are hot" and "Mommy likey about some boxer briefs." You make me puke.

Wow. Bitch.

People were trying to give OP advice throughout the thread, which she ignored. Not many stuck up for Bella, just poor OP, blah blah blah.

Sadly many have the mentality of JustBeadIt, that animals are disposable.

If speaking the truth after two and possibly three innocent animals lost their life from this woman (and her husband's) stupidity is being a bitch, then so be it.

I do have to chuckle that YOU of all people would have the nerve to call someone else a bitch. You were one of the bitchiest, nastiest people in the forums and it's rather nice without you. Now if only simpletons like JustBeadIt would leave...

I see the OP made the mistake of choosing her children over her dog and talking about it on the Etsy forums.

Poodlemomwhatever, yeah, you're a bitch. Seriously. OP has a right to keep her children SAFE.

Many people have children and dogs and they all live in harmony. Of course, the parents are required to use their brains and common sense, something Mr. & Mrs. JustBeadIt didn't do.

It was easier to dispose of Bella and hey, it gave her a whiney forum thread. Her kids weren't threatened by Bella, they're in peril because they have two parents who took the lazy way out instead of teaching their children (who will probably follow in their footsteps) that pets are not dispoable.

Work in a shelter or rescue and see if you have patience reading a thread about dumping a family pet for no reason other than the owner's laziness of working with the animal. The animal isn't at fault, it's confused and scared, wondering where their family is. Many times they're euthanized. It's so heartbreaking and unnecessary.

I just hope this family doesn't get another dog, unless it's the plush variety.

Oh and I am not poodlemom, but I do commend her not coddling the OP as most others were doing. I highly doubt I'm the only one who read this on ClosedThreads and didn't feel rage at the OP.

The OP's use of the world "surrendered" suggests that she gave the dog up to a shelter, and if she told them that she was worried that it was aggressive (because it was just doing what any untrained dog might do to any small prey animal it finds), then that poor dog was likely fast tracked for being put down, to save resources for more adoptable dogs. I'd never tell a parent to keep a dog that they thought was a threat to their child, but the OP was wrong to spend her time fishing for sympathy on Etsy rather than sparing a few minutes to take out a Craigslist ad looking for a new family, with a fence and some idea of how to own a dog, and that poor animal should not have had to pay the cost for her bad choice. If she'd found a no-kill rescue, she'd have said so in the thread, so I'm guessing she dumped the dog at a city pound. I love cats, and I support parents making safe and responsible choices for their families, but that doesn't make treating a living animal like a disposable toy ok, ever. She had choices, and she took the lazy way out, with an innocent animal's life on the line.

I don't usually post a lot in the forums or here, but this disturbs me. The OP didn't know her dog killed the 1st kitten, so she had her dog unleashed on 22 acres! I would have had mine unleashed as well! She stated that if she knew her dog had killed the 1st kitten then she would have had her on leash!

As a mom with two young children, I would never keep a dog that had me worried if it would attack my kids! My son was bitten before by my in-laws dogs for no reason other then he walked by him, and let me tell you how horrible that is!

There is no second chances for aggressive dogs with kids around.

Oh no, I missed that. I sure hope not, but I fear they euthanized Bella.

Because a dog kills a rabbit, squirrel or kitten outdoors does not mean they are vicious.

Some dogs live inside with cats, but will go after a cat in their yard. It does not mean the dog is vicious.

No need to. It's common knowledge from anyone who was on the forums before you were booted (thank God!) that you were a nasty bitch. Apparently that wasn't just your forum persona. Pity.

I was never "booted" & I still post in the forums.
You should probably meditate or something and try to let go of all the bitterness and resentment you hold towards others. It's really unhealthy. If I knew who you were, I'd give you a cookie.

Oh. I would like to apologize to the person I called a bitch. It wasn't right for me to judge. I'm sorry for that.

It is common sense to protect your child(ren) and their safety does come first, but to say a dog is vicious because they instinctly killed "prey" is totally fallacious! I have had dogs that killed mice, rats, snakes, skunks, and even a few ferral kittens that wondered into our yard but they would have never gone after my children! Yes, there are dogs that become vicious for many reasons and are not to be trusted around children but killing small prey does not define a vicious dog! It's called INSTINCT! You may laugh at the puppy that shakes their toy, but what they are actually doing is practicing killing their prey! Some people should never have children let alone own pets!
