It still took a fair amount of time after the tread had been locked for the item to be removed. After it finally had, Matt posted replies on Etsywtf (http://etsywtf.wordpress.com/2009/06/04/special-nazi-flag/#comments ) and Etsybitch (http://etsybitch.blogspot.com/2009/06/asleep-at-wheel-again.html ) but still no official statement on Etsy.....

I can't believe the assholes defending this shit. They should all have to spend a day at the holocaust museum. Or maybe they're still too stupid for it to sink in why nazi stuff is WRONG. And like I said on EB, I wonder what the age is on the people who defended this shit? It seems like the further we get away from the horror of the holocaust the more "tolerance" people have for nazis and such...unless one's family was directly involved.

Ok when a swastika is all by itself you MIGHT be able to argue it is Hindu or whatever. Unlikely, but possible. This was a goddamn nazi flag. It had German writing on it. It was described as a nazi party flag in the listing. It's ridiculous and stupid to keep trying to argue it might be a Buddhist good luck symbol.

Buddhist good luck symbols do not say "Germany Awake" on them, DUH!
