Etsy injustice again.
September 5, 2009 at 10:03:00 AM EDTStop someone asking for beads for a sick child but for two weeks allow an entire charity to organise in the forum raising money for beggars in India which appears so far to have purchased silver anklets for one to wear as the main achievement.
When will they apply the TOU evenly?
ahhhh..
September 5, 2009 at 12:04:00 PM EDTthe worm has begun to turn!
umm, if you're referring to adia, NO ONE purchased silver anklets for the mothers/aunts of adia to wear. they apparently bought those on their own instead of feeding their daughter
September 5, 2009 at 12:44:00 PM EDTso far we've (nutmeg mostly)gotten a starving child into a hospital. that's no small feat.
*shakes head*
Silver anklets?
September 5, 2009 at 1:25:00 PM EDTReally, Filbert? You have to talk shit about people wanting to help others? Just because it's not your cause, doesn't mean it doesn't hold any importance to others.
September 5, 2009 at 2:19:00 PM EDTAnd, by the way, I think it sucks that this thread got closed. Geez!

September 5, 2009 at 3:46:00 PM EDTThe link you gave was from a year ago, Filbert. I'm not sure I get your point.
September 5, 2009 at 7:13:00 PM EDTwhethe adia is being helped is really not the issue here, the issue is that Etsy is not consistent.
September 5, 2009 at 8:04:00 PM EDTI guess the adia stuff isn't actually asking for money anymore; at this point they're behaving more like a team. Who happens to be setting up a trust and a foundation.
September 5, 2009 at 8:58:00 PM EDTBria, until adia got to the hospital, the only achievement anyone could see was that the grandmother got new silver anklets... bought from the money she was given by nutmeg.
It does appear that the family is milking nutmeg (and the charity) for all she's worth and that nutmeg is being had. Keeping adia on the brink of death is financially profitable for that family now that nutmeg has come along and pays them. And feeds their kids. And gives them clothes. She appears to be a sugarmommy now.
