another thing to consider - often an accuser wioll have a hidden agenda, or may themselves not be credible. often they will purposely incite others to form a mob, based upon irrational or unfounded things they claim to be facts or proofs. they usually do this in the absence of the person being accused, when they cannot defend themselves.
sometimes these people are also self-aggrandizing, or not of entirely sound mind. i belive that the 'facts' presented by an accuser, as well as the 'credentials' they claim which 'qualify' them to accuse, should always be investigated as thoroughly as whomever they are accusing. only then can a complete picture to be formed.
most 'credentials', especially ones which are supposedly high, can be ascertained by a quick google search. a prominent award or position is always written about in the media. if not proof of such recognition exists, it may likely be untrue. if we must be distrustful of one another, we must be equally skeptical fo both sides.

Oh damn, now we see where uludag got this shit from! If anyone is not of sound mind here, it sure as hell isn't Trudy. Truly disgusting. Yuck, this makes me ill.
disgusting, why? it seems to me she was merely defending herself. did you expect her not to address the accusations? anyone being accused of running a scam would have.
Of course anyone would defend themselves and get their friend or relation to write something disgusting about people with brain tumours in a new thread. The whole Nutmeg-Adia business stinks and should be kept well away from Etsy.
I would just like to say my thread had nothing to do with Trudy. It was posted well before the brain tumor thread... which WAS NOT done by me. This thread was also closed before that other thread... and had no ties to it at all. It actually referred to actions happening OUTSIDE of Etsy.

Nothing to do with the other! I also completely disagree with what was posted in that other thread. There was no reason to do what he did... and there is no way to back up those actions... which we never tried to do. We didnt try to backup that thread because it WAS a very very bad idea to do! and disrespectful to Trudy.
Nutmeg posting in this thread was her way of backing up what transpired before that other thread was even started.
Diane, anyone has a right to defend themselves, but that right doesn't extend to defending oneself on etsy.
Nutmeg has "defended" herself far and wide by posting long-winded threads and comments attacking other people. "Defending" yourself by having your husband post inappropriate statements about people with brain tumours reduces her credibility... and reduces the amount of attention I and others pay to her posts.
She would be more convincing if she stopped "defending" herself and went back to just talking about that child.
Diane, you see nothing disgusting with the People with Brain Tumors thread which is basically what nutmeg said?
If not, then we'll just have to agree to disagree.
woah there calpix! I'm not talking about the brain tumor thread. That one was wrong. But this here, well nutmeg just did what would have been expected of anyone in her position. She defended herself (whether she's right or wrong) so no it's not disgusting behavior, it's PREDICTABLE behavior.
remember Nicholas Fransisco, the dad who disappeared and there were hundreds of threads and candles and fund raising, and eventually a lot of very grumpy, angry threads?

Where do you think the brain tumor thread came from Diane? Nutmeg. (herself/husband/friend who has same birthday as husband)
I would think the behavior that Nutmeg should of displayed would of been to answer the questions with dignity (the questions weren't out of line or difficult).
To do a ridiculous background check looking for dirt on the question asker, throwing it out that the question asker is a liar and insane, but they can't help it because they have a brain tumor, is predictable behavior?
No it isn't. It's vile and disgusting behavior.
If one has nothing to hide, they answer the questions. Getting offended, googling those who ask questions and then starting threads about that person calling them a liar and insane and ridiculing a disease they have is about as low as you can get.
Nutmeg is a popular (self-proclaimed that is) forum regular and she obviously thinks her word should be taken as truth. She should stop asking for and taking the public's money if she thinks she isn't accountable to anyone.
While it may or may not be, Nutmeg's behavior screams scam. Sorry.

September 19, 2009 at 7:13:00 PM EDTWhere the husband ran off to somewhere else, and the wife bilked everyone for everything? Even a free place to stay?
Yep
