Interesting train wreck.
In the first thread, the OP is told she broke a rule on page 1, she apologizes on page 1, and she reports the thread herself to be closed. But it isn't closed and it goes on for 17 pages! She keeps apologizing and keeps asking people to stop bumping it up but they keep on replying and telling her over and over that she broke a rule. She started the second thread for everyone to chat in so they would stop bumping the original thread with off-topic chatter. (didn't work, they just kept commenting in both threads, because 20 times is not enough times to be told you made a mistake) She was even bumping a bunch of other threads to try to get her mistake to sink to page 2.

When an admin finally gets round to locking it they tell her not to call out. :p
No shit sherlock, she learned that on page 1.
Perhaps a quicker lock would have prevented the trainwreck?
